2018 Summer Institute in Migration Research Methods
Irene Bloemraad and Jennifer Van Hook will organize and run a two-week Summer Institute in Migration Research Methods that will focus on alternative sources of data and evolving research methods in migration studies. The institute will take place at the University of California at Berkeley in June 2018 and will help train a new generation of immigration researchers to leverage existing datasets, learn best practices for rigorous data collection projects, and provide instruction in the application of cutting-edge methodologies to the study of mobile populations. The Institute will also help foster new professional networks and collaborations for immigration researchers.
