Leana Chatrath joined the Russell Sage Foundation in 2012. As Senior Program Officer, Leana is responsible for the Behavioral Economics program and the special initiative on Decision Making and Human Behavior in Context. She also manages the presidential grants across all of the Foundation’s program areas and special initiatives.
Before joining RSF, Leana was a research assistant at UNESCO’s International Bureau of Education in Geneva, Switzerland. As part of the Capacity Development and Policy Dialogue team, she developed educational training tools and led international conferences and workshops for education policy makers and practitioners. She has published articles on educational access and quality. Leana holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in International Development and Political Science from McGill University, and a Masters of International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Switzerland.
