Despite the increasingly devastating impacts of climate change, including wildfires, droughts, floods, and food shortages, large numbers of Americans are unmoved by calls to address climate change and some are deeply opposed to the idea. Sociologist Rachel Wetts will examine the roles of social class and education level in responses to campaigns to address climate change. She will conduct a survey and survey experiments for her study.
