Unemployment insurance (UI) can assist unemployed workers to retain assets and overall financial well-being. However, eligibility requirements can impact equitable access to UI and negatively impact already vulnerable groups. Doctoral student in economics Felipe Juan will examine the role of state eligibility requirements on equitable access to UI benefits. He will analyze data from the United States Department of Labor for his study.
