
Former RSF Trustee, Visiting Scholar, Author, and Grantee Alan Blinder Receives AAPSS’ 2023 Daniel Patrick Moynihan Prize
Former RSF trustee, visiting scholar, author, and grantee Alan Blinder (Princeton University) has been awarded the 2023 Daniel Patrick Moynihan Prize by The American Academy of Political & Social Sciences. Each year, the Prize is awarded to a leading policymaker, social scientist, or public intellectual whose career demonstrates the value of using research and evidence to improve the human condition. The committee cited Blinder’s research and public service, which “has been instrumental in shaping the public’s understanding of the American economy.”
Alan Blinder is Gordon S. Rentschler Memorial Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton University. He is a former RSF trustee and a former RSF visiting scholar. He is co-editor of RSF volumes Rethinking the Financial Crisis and The Roaring Nineties and is co-author of RSF volumes Downsizing in America and Asking About Prices. He is also the recipient of multiple RSF research grants.
