Alexandra Starr is a contributor to NPRHarpers, the Atlantic, the New York Times, and other outlets. At the foundation she studied the challenges of family reunification—or when children immigrate to join their parents who left them behind to find work in the U.S.—focusing on the experiences of both children and adults in reunited Honduran families in the Bronx.
