Five RSF-affiliated scholars have recently been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS). AAAS Fellows are selected annually and are leaders in academic disciplines, the arts, business, and public affairs. Among the new members named to join the AAAS in 2021, Stefano DellaVigna, Nikole Hannah-Jones, Rucker C. Johnson, Nicole Shelton, and Stefanie Stantcheva have all received support from RSF for their research interests.

Stefano DellaVigna (University of California, Berkeley) was a member of the foundation’s Behavioral Economics and Consumer Finance Working Group.  Nikole Hanna-Jones (New York Times) was an RSF Visiting Journalist in 2017. Rucker C. Johnson (University of California, Berkeley) was an RSF Visiting Scholar in 2011-2012. J. Nicole Shelton (Princeton University) was an RSF Visiting Scholar in 2002-2003. Stefanie Stantcheva (Harvard University) is the recipient of several RSF research grants.
