The American Sociological Association (ASA) recently announced the results of their 2021 elections. The new members of the ASA leadership team include three former RSF visiting scholars who have received support from RSF for their research.

President-elect Prudence L. Carter (University of California, Berkeley) was a visiting scholar in 2015-2016. She was a contributor to the RSF volume Evangelicals and Democracy in America (Vol. 1: Religion and Society). Vice President-elect Mignon R. Moore (Barnard College – Columbia University) was a visiting scholar in 2004-2005. She was a contributor to the RSF volume Social Awakening: Adolescent Behavior as Adulthood Approaches. Secretary-Treasurer-elect Monica McDermott (Arizona State University) was a visiting scholar in 2019-2020. She is the recipient of several RSF grants and was a contributor to the RSF volume Just Neighbors? Research on African American and Latino Relations in the United States.
