Racial and Ethnic Minorities in the Workplace: The Role of Biases and Experiences
Blacks and Hispanics constitute more than one-third of the U.S. labor force. However, unemployment rates are also significantly higher for these minority groups. Doctoral student in economics Daniel Gomez-Vasquez will examine how factors such as hiring constraints and past hiring experiences affect hiring discrimination of Black and Hispanic workers. He will conduct an online hiring experiment for his study.
