Webinar: RSF-Affiliated Scholars on the Civil Justice Gap

November 25, 2024

On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, two RSF-affiliated scholars will discuss a new report from the American Academy of Arts & Sciences’ Making Justice Accessible project on finding solutions for the civil justice gap – the chasm between the legal needs of Americans and their access to adequate legal assistance. Speakers will include Martha Louise Minow (Harvard University) an RSF trustee, co-editor of RSF volumes Just Schools and Engaging Cultural Differences, and contributor to RSF volume Fathers Under Fire and former RSF visiting scholar Rebecca L. Sandefur (Arizona State University).

Along with John G. Levi (Sidley Austin & Legal Services Corporation), Daniel B. Rodriguez (Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law), and Diane P. Wood (American Law Institute), Minow and Sandefur will launch Achieving Civil Justice, the final report of the Making Justice Accessible project. The report features case studies illustrating how Americans can gain access to the support they need, when and how they need it, from trusted, quality providers.
