Webinar: RSF Journal Issue Contributors on the Socioeconomic Impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic
On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, five contributors to the forthcoming RSF: The Russell Sage Foundation Journal of the Social Sciences issue “The Socioeconomic Impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic,” co-funded with the JPB Foundation, will discuss the varied social and economic consequences of COVID-19 in the United States in a webinar hosted by the Stone Program in Wealth Distribution, Inequality, and Social Policy at Harvard Kennedy School. Speakers include journal issue co-editor Daniel Schneider (Harvard Kennedy School) and journal contributors Diane Whitmore Schanzenbach (Northwestern University), Rocío Calvo (Boston College), Mary C. Waters (Harvard University), and Peter Hepburn (Rutgers University, Newark).
Daniel Schneider will moderate the discussion, Diane Whitmore Schanzenbach will discuss the article “Suffering, the Safety Net, and Disparities During COVID-19,” Rocío Calvo and Mary C. Waters will discuss the article “The Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Older Latino Immigrants,” and Peter Hepburn will discuss the article “Protecting the Most Vulnerable: Policy Response and Eviction Filing Patterns During the COVID-19 Pandemic.”
