Congressional Attention to Economic Problems

We are interested in understanding how the financial resources of wealthy individuals and business may shape which economic issues Congress prioritizes. To do so we identified set of major economic issues to which Congress might have devoted attention and classified these issues according to their degree of prioritization by upper versus lower/middle class interests.
