Summary
Over the past several decades, racial wage gaps have widened, with Black workers seeing fewer gains from increased overall productivity than Whites. Economists Johannes Schmieder and Briana Sullivan will evaluate how well the Black-White earnings, wage, and employment gaps can be measured in the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) data. They will analyze data from the LEHD, the American Community Survey, and Current Population Survey for their study.
