Summary

The Russell Sage Foundation convened a working conference in Paris, France on February 13-14, 2004 to develop full proposals for case studies on low-wage work in Denmark, France, Germany, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. The conference provided feedback to the European researchers conducting the investigation and to establish sufficient coordination so that they can make meaningful cross national comparisons among the case studies of each country as well as with previously conducted case studies of low-wage work in the United States. The case studies were published in the RSF series on Job Quality in Advanced Economies.
