Summary

As climate-related hazards, such as hurricanes, floods, and fires, become more common events, it is increasingly important to understand how these disasters shape employment outcomes for affected households. Economists Dania Francis and Keren Horn will examine the impacts of climate-related disasters on workers’ short-, medium-, and long-term labor market outcomes. They will analyze data from the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics dataset and the Spatial Hazard Events and Losses Database for their study.
