Summary
Partisan poll watchers observe election proceedings to ensure that officials and voters follow the rules. Every state except West Virginia allows them in some form. Yet, little is known about how they affect public views of elections. Political scientists Geoffrey Sheagley and Mollie J. Cohen will examine trust in poll watchers in Georgia. They will conduct a survey after the 2024 election for their study.
