Summary

The social sciences are in a unique position to identify and help dismantle the systems that maintain racial inequality. Yet the extent to which social science can do so depends on the extent to which scholarship on race is supported by these disciplines. Doctoral student in psychology Sakaria Auelua-Toomey will investigate the ways in which a lack of racial diversity among journal editors obstructs the advancement of scholarship on race. He will conduct archival analysis and a field experiment for his study.
