Labor Market Entry into a Recession - Unequal Effects by Gender

The latest recession has made it clear that economic downturns affect individuals differently in the workforce. However, how these effects vary by gender is not well understood. Doctoral student in economics Diva Astinova will investigate how the impacts of graduating from university during a recession differ by gender. She will analyze administrative Canadian tax data and data from the Postsecondary Student Information System dataset for her study.
