In the post-Ferguson Era, people across the nation have demanded the arrest and prosecution of police misconduct. However, police use of force typically does not result in indictment nor conviction. Sociologist Ilana Friedman will examine how prosecutors understand their role in police misconduct investigations and the prosecution of these investigations. She will conduct in-depth interviews and a legal review for her study.
