RSF-Affiliated Scholars to Discuss the Power of Asian American Voters

On Thursday, October 17, RSF-affiliated scholars will discuss the power of Asian American voters at a panel hosted by The Asian American Initiative at Columbia University entitled, “The Asian American VOTE.” Panelists will include Karthick Ramakrishnan (University of California, Berkeley), an RSF author, RSF: The Russell Sage Journal of the Social Sciences issue editor, former RSF visiting scholar, and grantee and Janelle Wong (University of Maryland), an RSF author, RSF journal issue contributor, Pipeline Grants Competition mentor, and grantee.

Along with Kurt Bardella (NewsNation) and host Katie Phang (MSNBC), Ramakrishnan and Wong will discuss Asian American voters and why they matter in the 2024 election. Inaugural Director of the Asian American Initiative and chair of the RSF Board of Trustees, RSF author, RSF journal issue editor, former RSF visiting scholar, and grantee Jennifer Lee (Columbia University) will give the welcoming remarks.

The event is open to the public and will be held in person and virtually.
