RSF-Affiliated Scholars Named 2025 Andrew Carnegie Fellows

Former RSF visiting scholar Adam J. Berinsky (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and RSF author and grantee Amy E. Lerman (University of California, Berkeley) have been selected as 2025 Andrew Carnegie Fellows. They will join a class of 26 scholars as part of the Carnegie Corporation’s annual fellowship program that supports high-caliber scholarship and research in the social sciences and humanities that address important and enduring issues confronting our society. The research conducted by the 2025 Class will focus on political polarization in the United States.
Adam J. Berinsky is the Mitsui Professor of Political Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is a specialist in the fields of political behavior and public opinion. Amy E. Lerman is the Michelle Schwartz Chair and professor of public policy and political science at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research is focused on issues of equity, public opinion, and civic engagement, especially as they relate to public safety and social inequality in America.
