RSF Author and Grantee Katherine Michelmore Awarded 2024 David N. Kershaw Award
RSF author and grantee Katherine Michelmore (University of Michigan) was awarded the 2024 David N. Kershaw Award. The David N. Kershaw Award recognizes professionals who make significant contributions to the field of public policy analysis and management before the age of 40. Michelmore was awarded for her “research on the Earned Income Tax Credit, which has been instrumental in helping policymakers understand its impact, and her evaluations of interventions new approaches to help low-income students access higher education.” She will give the annual Kershaw lecture and be honored at the 2024 Association for Public Policy Analysis & Management (APPAM) Fall Research Conference in National Harbor, Maryland this November.
Katherine Michelmore is an associate professor of public policy at the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. She is a contributor to RSF: The Russell Sage Journal of the Social Sciences issues “Low-Income Families in the Twenty-First Century: Effective Public Policy Responses,” “Wealth Inequality and Child Development: Implications for Policy and Practice,” and “A Half Century of Change in the Lives of American Women.” She is also the recipient of multiple RSF research grants.
