RSF Author Kristin Seefeldt to Participate in Webinar on Economic and Residential Segregation

On Wednesday, February 15, RSF author Kristin Seefeldt (University of Michigan) will participate in a webinar hosted by the Institute for Research on Poverty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Seefeldt will discuss findings from her new book, Abandoned Families: Social Isolation in the Twenty-First Century, which illuminates the economic and residential segregation facing many low-income workers, particularly African Americans, and explores how those factors limit their families’ chances for upward mobility. Seefeldt will also examine a number of policy measures that have the potential to help vulnerable families get ahead.

The webinar is free and open to the public with registration, and will begin at 1pm CST. Participants can register for the webinar on the Institute for Poverty Research’s website.
