RSF Trustees and Authors Elected Fellows of the American Academy of Political and Social Science

The American Academy of Political and Social Science (AAPSS) has selected five new Fellows of the Academy for 2017. The fellows are Lawrence Bobo (Harvard University), Margaret Levi (Stanford University), Martha Minow (Harvard University), Claude Steele (University of California, Berkeley), and Timothy Smeeding (University of Wisconsin).

Both Minow and Steele currently serve on the Russell Sage Foundation’s board of trustees. Bobo was a Visiting Scholar at RSF from 1995-1996 and is co-editor of the RSF books Prismatic Metropolis and Urban Inequality. Smeeding was a Visiting Scholar at RSF from 2007-2008 and is co-editor of the RSF books From Parents to Children and Persistence, Privilege and Parenting. Levi is co-author of the RSF books Cooperation Without Trust? and Whom Can We Trust?

Thee AAPSS inducts a new cohort of Fellows each spring in recognition of their contributions to society through research and public service. Bobo, Levi, Minow, Smeeding, and Steele will officially join the Academy on the evening of May 18, 2017, in a ceremony in Washington, D.C. Read the AAPSS announcement.
