RSF visiting scholar Julie C. Suk (Fordham University) is being featured in an exhibition at the New York State Capitol entitled, “Champions of Equality: New York Women and the Equal Rights Amendment” to celebrate Women’s History Month. The exhibit highlights “New Yorkers who exemplify the persistence and dedication to equity and equality in their intersectional experiences and steadfast advocacy for the national Equal Rights Amendment.” Suk is featured for her book, We the Women: The Unstoppable Mothers of the Equal Rights Amendment, the first comprehensive book on the ERA and the ratification movement. She is highlighted among other notable New Yorkers, including Gloria Steinem and Florynce Kennedy.
The exhibition is taking place at the New York State Capitol from March 1, 2024, to March 29, 2024.
