Black Reparations: Insights from the Social Sciences - June 17, 2024

On Monday, June 17, RSF hosted a webinar to mark the publication of the new RSF: The Russell Sage Foundation Journal of the Social Sciences double issue on Black Reparations, one of the most pressing and contentious policy proposals of our times. The webinar featured a live discussion with issue editors William Darity Jr. (Duke University) and Dania V. Francis (University of Massachusetts, Boston) and was moderated by Jovan Scott Lewis (University of California, Berkeley). Darity and Francis discussed what social science research tells us about the history of reparations, the current state of the debate on reparations, and the feasibility of paying reparations.
