Summary

Racial discrimination remains pervasive in American society. Some social science theories have suggested two broad characteristics of racism: exploitation and exclusion. Social psychologist Linda Zou will examine whether exposure to examples of racial exploitation and exclusion reinforces stereotypes against minority groups and undermines support for policies that would address racial inequalities. She will conduct survey experiments for her study.
