2026 ARTEMIS Summer Institute
Last year, RSF started a collaboration with the North American branch of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL NA) to co-fund Pipeline Grants that focused on randomized evaluations (RCTs) or could eventually lead to randomized evaluations. Further conversations with J-PAL NA revealed that there is uneven training for early career scholars interested in designing and implementing RCTs. Due to this, J-PAL NA proposed the Advanced Research Training in Evaluation, Methods, and Impact Studies (ARTEMIS) program. The ARTEMIS Summer Institute will take place over five days in 2026, on or near the MIT campus. ARTEMIS is focused on early-career academic researchers, PhD students, and postdoctoral students with the goal of equipping a wider and more diverse set of researchers with the tools to use randomized evaluations. J-PAL NA Co-Executive Director Laura Feeny will organize and oversee the conference.
