Summary
This grant is co-funded with the Washington Center for Equitable Growth.
To design effective policy responses to generative artificial intelligence (genAI), policymakers need to better understand the extent of genAI adoption, how it impacts workers’ jobs, and the extent to which workers are positively or negatively affected. Economists Adam Blandin, Alexander Bick, and David Deming will examine how adoption of genAI at work has changed and impacted workers over time. They will conduct three additional waves of the genAI module of the Real-Time Population Survey (RPS), a nationally representative labor market survey of adults aged 18-64, for their study.
