Summary

In 2015, with the encouragement of then-trustee Richard Thaler, five RSF behavioral economics summer institute alumni organized the first Early Career Behavioral Economics (ECBE) Conference at the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. Following the success of this conference, these same scholars have organized annual conferences that alternate between the U.S. and Europe, with RSF sponsoring the four U.S. conferences. Economists Paolina Medina-Palma, Stephanie Heger, Kai Barron, Teodora Boneva, and Silvia Saccardo will organize the 2023 conference, which will take place on July 18-19 at Harvard University and is sponsored by Professor Christine Exley. This fifth U.S. conference will be the final one that RSF will sponsor.
