Nine RSF-affiliated scholars have recently been appointed to The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s Committee on Policies and Programs to Reduce Intergenerational Poverty. The committee will identify policies and programs with the potential to reduce long-term, intergenerational poverty. Among those appointed to the committee are Anna Aizer, Raj Chetty, Greg Duncan, Stephanie Fryberg, Harry Holzer, Vonnie McLoyd, Mary Pattillo, Jesse Rothstein, and Stephen Trejo.

Anna Aizer (Brown University) is an RSF research grant recipient. Raj Chetty (Harvard University) is the recipient of multiple RSF research grants. Greg Duncan (University of California, Irvine) was a Margaret Olivia Sage scholar in fall 2019 and fall 2021 and a visiting scholar during both the 2016-2017 and 2004-2005 academic years. He is co-editor of the RSF books Whither Opportunity?For Better and for WorseNeighborhood PovertyVolume 1 and  Volume 2, Consequences of Growing Up Poor, and is co-author of the RSF book Higher Ground (2007). He is the recipient of multiple RSF research grants. Stephanie Fryberg (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor) is a contributing author to the RSF book Facing Social Class. Harry Holzer (Georgetown University) is 2021-2022 RSF visiting scholar. He is a co-editor of RSF books Where Are All the Good Jobs Going?, Moving Up or Moving On, and Detroit Divided and is the author of the RSF book What Employers Want. He is the co-editor of RSF Journal issue Improving Employment and Earnings in Twenty-First Century Labor Markets. He is a contributing author to several RSF books and journal issues, as well at the recipient of multiple RSF research grants. Vonnie McLoyd (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor) is a contributing author to the RSF book Making it Work. Mary Pattillo (Northwestern University) is a co-editor of the RSF book Imprisoning America. She is a contributing author to multiple RSF books and an RSF research grant recipient. Jesse Rothstein (University of California, Berkeley) is a contributing author to the RSF Journal issue The U.S. Labor Market During and After the Great Recession and a recipient of multiple RSF research grants. Stephen Trejo (University of Texas at Austin) is an RSF research grant recipient.
