What Investigators Should Know about Grant Seeking from Private Foundations

In January the American Sociological Association hosted an informational webinar for social science researchers seeking external funding from private foundations. Russell Sage Foundation Program Officer Leana Chatrath joined representatives from the Spencer Foundation and W.T. Grant Foundation to offer concrete guidance on preparing proposals for both early-career scholars and established researchers.

The webinar is available in full from ASA. In the talk, participants discuss each foundation’s programs and priorities, what to expect in the application review process, and what investigators should consider when writing grant applications.
